Leading through change

The ongoing financial pressures that we’re all facing seem to have no sign abetting if the recent wave of redundancies across many industries is anything to go by. The organisations that we’re working with continue to tell us that this rate of unprecedented change is creating significant challenges for the resilience and productivity of their teams.

Whilst general statistics show that mental health issues affect 1 in 6 people in any given week, our recent large-scale study Mental Health Report found that this number increases to 3 in 4 people when it comes to mental health at work specifically. Ongoing turmoil and uncertainty have resulted in lower levels of feeling able to cope, and the impacts are being disproportionately felt by minoritised groups, further hindering DEI initiatives within organisations.

Given this backdrop, we held a much-needed Towards Utopia Breakfast Briefing on how organisations can effectively lead through change. We discussed how ongoing uncertainty had affected the resilience and productivity of people, and provided practical approaches to support leaders and teams in the workplace. With - or without - budget.
