Alexander McQueen

We began work with this $20 million brand in 2020, following the BLM movement. It sparked not only race focussed activity but a drive for better inclusion more broadly at the brand. Following our work with the UK team, CEO Emmanuel Gintzberg and CSO Cecilia Takayama, saw the need for a global strategy and extended the work, along with extensive team consultation.

What ended up being a 2 year journey, began with listening sessions across the UK, US and EMEA to identify clear areas of strength or improvement.

The bespoke Inclusion Accelerate we created for their CEO, Senior Leadership Team, Region and Divisional Heads from 5 key markets China, Japan, France, Italy and UK provided a methodology to enable this team to invest in and co-create their Inclusion and Diversity strategy. As well as upskilling the team, we gave monthly consultancy to support on inclusion communication, cultural celebrations and PR.

The brand now has a global DEI strategy that respects regional nuances, informs their approach, their recruitment and diversity targets and how they achieve psychological safety. This includes a novel Inclusion and Diversity committee, which we supported in creating. This DEI advocate team leads on all DEI matters.

Following working with us, Alexander McQueen saw changes across all business areas. They also rolled out further listening sessions to continue to understand their global situation.
